	The Information Technology Division (ITD) is resident to the State of Alabama Department of Insurance and assists the Commissioner in providing regulatory insurance oversight through on-line web based technology applications. ITD procures and maintains computer hardware and software in accordance with the prevailing standards established within the Department. ITD also provides technological infrastructure for networks in the Department.
	ITD's mission is to provide the best technical services and support available to the Department of Insurance. ITD supports the Department using the most cost effective and efficient methods and processes available for all customers of the division, including internal and external customers.
